Abstract
The study evaluates the use of biodegradable jute matting to control invasive macrophytes Najas marina ssp. intermedia and Elodea nuttallii in lakes. Field experiments showed effective suppression of Najas intermedia and significant reduction in Elodea nuttallii growth, depending on mesh size and environmental conditions, while allowing some native species to grow through.
